Bottlenose Dolphins 2/6/25

It wasn’t exactly a great day for taking photographs - it was raining and the winds were 20+mph early, increasing to 40+mph later. Just standing upright was a challenge. But it had been a long time since I’d had the chance to go looking for dolphins, so I was determined to try. I went to Ft Funston because my friend had been successful there recently. Sure enough, after a while I caught sight of a few of them. I recognized one of them almost right away - Sakura, who I’ve photographed before. It looks like Sakura has picked up a nasty little scar since last I saw her (she’s in the first 2 photos). I’m going to see if I can ID a few more of them, but as usual, I’m also sending them to The Marine Mammal Center to see if they can ID them. I’m posting a few more photos than I typically would, mostly for ID and documentation purposes.
