Cloudbow 1/27/24

Often when I’m on a photowalk, as I’m taking photos I start to “storyboard” things in my head. I think about the photos I’ve taken, what I might want to post, how I want to put things together, and whether there are additional shots I might take to complete the story. This morning I thought I knew what I was going to post, but that changed multiple times and then changed again as I got home. Early in the morning I saw a cloudbow as the sun was coming over the hills over Mori Pt and I thought that shot would be the start of a “Good Morning Pacifica” series, and I added some shots overlooking the golf course with the ocean and pier. And as I encountered and photographed more critters than usual, the post was getting a bit too long, so I was just going to do the cloudbow, some scenery and some of the Western Bluebirds. Then when I got home I noticed that the cloudbow had become a complete circle, but it was too big for the lens I had on me. So I dashed inside, got a wider lens, went up to the roof and took a few shots. After seeing that I decided the cloudbow was going to get its own post. Which is all an overly-loquacious way of saying “Good Morning Pacifica!” Note that Photo2 was when I first saw the cloudbow and Photo1 was when I got home.
