Pelagic Cormorant Takeoff

Pelagic Cormorant Takeoff 5/8/23. A few days ago I went out to the pier at lunch to see if I could catch the mother and calf Gray Whales which have been patrolling the area the past week or so. While waiting I noticed this Pelagic Cormorant. I don't normally see the Pelagics, normally it's mostly Double-crested and Brandt's. I hadn't previously gotten any photos of them, so I started snapping a few. I managed to get him taking off. I love their prehistoric looking feet.
