Red-shouldered Hawk on a Diet 11/11/23
This guy surprised me on my walk yesterday. He burst out of the grass just as I was getting to the golf course overlook. I barely was able to get the camera off my shoulder, planted, pointed and focused in time to snap a shot before he was in the trees. I figured he probably just caught something. After taking a closer look, I noticed he did indeed catch something, but boy was it smaller than I normally see them catch. Eating light, or maybe just a small snack between meals?
