Sunset 1/13/25

I knew it had been a little while since I had taken any photos. I’ve been regularly finding myself looking longingly outside, and every time I think “too much to do, can’t spare the time.” But I was genuinely surprised when I imported this photo and discovered it was my first of 2025. And I almost didn’t even take it.
A little while before sunset I looked out and thought “I bet that’s going to be a good sunset!”, but wasn’t planning on photographing it. Then when the sunset started, I thought “wow, that’s a beautiful sunset, I really ought to try and get a shot”, but didn’t. A few minutes later some really gorgeous blue hues started weaving in with the brilliant reds/yellows/oranges and I thought “man, I wish I had gone out to get a shot, but by the time I get my camera out and get out there, it’ll be gone.” A few minutes later I thought “wow, I was wrong about that!” and almost grabbed my camera and headed out but was sure it would be over shortly. A few minutes later I said “OK! OK!” and grabbed my camera and went outside.
