Sunset Whales 9/7/23
On my walk back home I stopped to take some photos of the sunset, wedged between the clouds and the ocean. As I was taking the photos I suddenly noticed what appeared to be a whale spout. I snapped a bunch more photos and then took a closer look - sure enough there were three whales - almost certainly Humpbacks, but I can’t make a positive ID from what I have. In one of the photos I found that there was both a spout and a fluke - that’s Photo1. Photo2 was actually the first spout I saw, but I wanted to lead with the fluke+spout.
