White-tailed Deer Northeast PA 12/4/23

This New Year’s Day we have a little break from the storms and waves so I have some time to catch up on my photos. These were taken in December during my trip to see my family. Animals were a little scarce, especially the deer because I was there during peak deer hunting season and there was a lot of gunfire. I was beginning to think I wouldn’t get any photos, but the woods around my sister’s house is often a good place to see deer and so when I went over to visit I brought my camera. Sure enough - I managed to find a doe and her two fawns. While I did get some photos of the fawns, there weren’t any clear shots, and the branches and obstructions were too distracting so I didn’t include them here. I like how she looks like she’s having a conversation with the squirrel in Photo1.
