Beaver Moon over the Pier
The kitties got me up early again this morning. I wasn’t going to bother with another moon shot because I just did one yesterday but I noticed it looked like the moon was going to set just above the pier from my vantage point. So I reluctantly stumbled to get my camera and went up to the roof. Boy was it chilly this morning! The sky was just warming up from the sun with some nice pinks and pastels. The moon had an orange and red glow to it that really set the shots up nicely. Throw in a few birds, a few waves and some flags and I was pretty happy. While it’s probably obvious from the heights of the moon, the photos are in reverse-chronological order. And to head off the likely question - these are all single-shot photos. The first one looks like a composite, but it’s not. I didn’t even exposure stack, even though that was my plan. I bracketed each shot with the intent to stack them, but after looking through them I decided I could get what I wanted from individual shots.
