Cooper’s Hawk says Hi 12/16/23
It’s been a while since I’ve been out taking photos, at least around here. I was back east for a little while and I’ve been a bit busy both before and after the trip. I’m sure it’s just a story in my head, but it seems like whenever it’s been a while since I’ve gone out on my walks, the critters decide to come to me. I was happily watching the Steelers game (they were winning at the time ….) when my spidey-sense told me to look out the window. I looked out and didn’t immediately see what triggered it, but upon closer inspection saw this beautiful lady tucked into one of the trees. I grabbed my camera and went out to try and get a shot. I figured she’d fly away as soon as I opened the door. She looked my way and watched as I tried to get into position to get a shot. I couldn’t get into a great position - lots of branches blocking the way - but I did my best. She waited until I got a few photos and then took off.
