Egret and Coyote go Hunting 12/9/24
I managed to get out for another walk to Mori this evening and found the same Coyote from yesterday in the same basic location. This time he was joined by a Great Egret. They were both hunting for rodents. The Egret showed who was the better hunter. When the Egret snagged its dinner, the Coyote looked back in frustration, then decided he had to pull something up, but all he could manage was some ice plant roots. Oh well, better luck next time.
Unfortunately these guys waited until after the sun went down, which meant no beautiful lighting like yesterday’s coyote shots, and it was a bit of a challenge getting decent shots with little light.
