Kite Surfer 6/5/23

On my way back from photographing the whales I saw a few kite surfers out having a good time in the wind that had been battering me for a while. I shot a number of photos and then decided to switch to video and get a few clips. Big lens, big wind and no tripod makes for a bit more movement than I’d like, but it came out a bit better than I expected (at least after a little bit of software-based motion compensation). The view from the pier gives a pretty cool perspective, and I like the sections where he gets “lost” in the surf and then reappears.
