Western Bluebird 12/8/24
Today I really needed something to lift my mood a bit, and Bluebirds are a pretty good way to do that. So I went through my Western Bluebird photos from my Mori Pt walk on 12/8. Normally when there’s both male and female bluebirds, most of the shots I pick are of the males - they’re just so darned colorful. But one female seemed determine to make it into my final cut. She started off by landing in a spot that just had beautiful light raking across the top of the branches and of her, with a deep, dark background. Then she gave me nice over-the-shoulder look. And finally she had some nice pre-flight poses. That gets you high in the post order.
I didn’t want the male to feel too left out, so I threw in some shots of him too.
